TFA Novakem
Fluid Transport Additive
Fluid Transport Additive TFA Novakem
TFA Novakem is a fluid transport additive , an unclassified chemical product, for use in stabilizing tailings suspensions. Developed for long-distance transport and with greater ease of handling and production.

Novakem TFA Additive stably incorporates mining tailings for TFA production and tailings disposal.
It can be used with the same easy-to-handle portable equipment, respecting the appropriate conditions for mixing and dosing the materials.
The suspension is obtained through high-speed agitation or shearing to ensure proper homogenization. Furthermore, mixing conditions, considering time and speed, are important to achieve maximum incorporation of the generated foam in a stable manner throughout the transport and deposition of the waste.

TFA Novakem is recommended as a foaming additive, through the use of equipment specifically designed for its production.
Stable suspensions of 1,200 kg/m³ (depending on materials, temperature and mixing conditions);
Pumping of fluids prepared with tailings;
No added water (slurry) required ;
Disposal in containment basins with a significant reduction in volume;
Elimination of the incorporated volume due to foam collapse over time;
Other types of fluid transport.
What are the advantages of using Novakem's TFA fluid transport additive?
TFA Novakem meets the needs of applications in the production of suspensions for transporting mining tailings. The main advantages of its use are listed below:
It allows for the transport of mining tailings with the minimum amount of water ;
Good flow and low sedimentation of the resulting suspension;
Water conservation through reuse and water recovery processes;
Reducing the volume of tailings in the basins , enabling new disposal methods;
It does not generate other byproducts of reaction with the mineral tailings;
Biodegradable product ;
High TFA yield with low transportation and production costs ;
Ease of production and integration in remote environments;
Ease of pumping and draining of the incorporated fluid.
