Durakem Strength and Grip Accelerator Additive

Strength and setting accelerator additive for use in ready-mixed concrete, precast concrete, and concrete products. Promotes increased initial strength and reduced setting time.

Aditivo acelerador de resistência e pega Durakem

Durakem additives are strength and setting accelerators added to concrete during its preparation. They increase the initial strength gain of the concrete and/or promote a reduction in setting time , especially in concrete in cold climates (below 18°C).

They provide high initial strengths by accelerating the hydration reactions of Portland cement. Furthermore, Durakem is used to reduce setting times in high early strength concrete, improving productivity in sequential processes or allowing structures to be loaded more quickly.

Durakem is used as an accelerating additive in construction, precast concrete industries, and in the production of:

  • High early strength concrete ;

  • Fast-setting concrete ;

  • Structural repairs and restorations;

  • Grouts;

  • Unreinforced precast elements.

Durakem accelerator additives were developed to meet a wide range of applications. They are divided into two families: chloride-free and chloride-based accelerators (for structures and artifacts without steel reinforcement).

  • Production of high early strength concretes , mainly precast and structural concretes;

  • Concretes requiring rapid release;

  • Architectural and decorative concrete;

  • Slender, prestressed structures;

  • Stability during storage without sediment formation or clogging of tank dispensers and valves.
