Airkem Fill Air-Entraining Additive

Airkem Fill additive is an air-entraining additive for the production of controlled-density ground for the production of concrete and mortar for filling.

Filling with air-entraining additive

Airkem Fill is used as an air-entraining admixture for controlled-density soil and lightweight concretes and mortars.

  • Lightweight concrete with a unit mass of up to 1,500 kg/m³ (depending on materials, temperature and mixing conditions);

  • Mortar and lightweight concrete for filling ;

  • Slab filling and finishing ;

  • Walls and floors with acoustic and thermal insulation ;

  • Controlled density soil, even with specified CBR;

  • Filling in pits, trenches, mines and contaminated soils;

  • Other types of lightweight concrete and mortars for trenches and support of abandoned tanks.

What are the advantages of using Airkem Fill air-entraining additive?

Arikem Fill caters to a wide range of applications in the production of lightweight concrete and filling mortars. The main advantages of its use are listed below:

  • It allows the production of concretes with densities lower than conventional ones, between 1,500 and 1,800 kg/m³, by adding the additive directly to the mixture;

  • With the same equipment available at the plant or construction site, it is possible to produce lightweight concretes and mortars for filling and soil with controlled density;

  • It promotes characteristics in mortars and concretes that provide greater acoustic and thermal insulation , as well as lower load on structures due to its reduced specific mass;

  • It allows for easy maintenance of pipes and cabling due to the ease of removing the material even after it has hardened;

  • Easy to apply due to its high fluidity for filling voids and hard-to-reach places;

  • It exhibits a uniform CBR value in the material, regardless of soil compaction, unlike traditional applications intended for this type of application.

  • It reduces the reliance on manual labor to achieve controlled-density soil quality.
