Multifunctional Additive (Mid Range) Water Reducer Hybrid K

Hybrid K™ is Novakem's chloride-free hybrid water-reducing admixture for use in ready-mixed concrete. Specifically developed for concretes produced with composite cement, it offers improved final strength and less effect on setting time retardation, resulting in greater fluidity and optimized consumption in fck (compressive strength) from 30 MPa or increased workability range.

Hybrid K™ additives are multifunctional, high-reducing water reducers added to concrete during its preparation, significantly increasing the workability of the concrete and controlling slump during transport . Recommended for concretes with high fck or a wide workability range to provide greater performance and productivity.

They provide high ultimate strengths due to their high water-reducing effect and control over the initial hydration of the cement. Furthermore, the multifunctional Hybrid K™ is used to optimize cement consumption in higher-strength concrete, improving its durability and properties in the plastic state.

Hybrid K midrange multifunctional water-reducing additive

Hybrid K™ is used as a multifunctional additive in concrete batching plants for the production of:

  • Pumped concrete ;

  • Pillars;

  • Foundations;

  • Floors;

  • Fluid concrete;

  • Other types of fluid concrete or concrete with high fck.

What are the advantages of using the Hybrid K™ multifunctional (Mid Range) water-reducing additive?

Mid Range Hybrid K™ water-reducing admixtures were developed to meet the needs of a wide range of mineral-added composite cements. The main advantages of their use are listed below:

  • Water reduction of more than 18% in typical concrete mixes, resulting in increased compressive strength at 1, 7, and 28 days.

  • Recommended for use as a line additive in batching plants;

  • It provides improved slump retention during transport and a significant reduction in water content;
